Flemish Tom Theuns and Walloon Aurélie Dorzée form the unique Belgian duo Tom & Aurélie. A couple - in life as on stage - that enchanted many international stages with their unusual sound.

Tom & Aurélie, that is folk with a generous dash of absurdism and humor. They debunk clichés, transcend boundaries, and build bridges. Between Flanders and Wallonia. Between reality and fiction. Between the norm and the alternative. Between tradition and the present.

With a range of (self-built) instruments, the duo creates a surrealistic fantasy world. Trumpet violin, viola d'amore, singing saw, sitar, "bass-zouki" mini guitars and other strings... Add their meandering voices; going from raspy to silky smooth; and lyrics in both invented as existing languages and you end up with an atypical musical universe called Tom & Aurélie.

In August 2025, Tom Theuns and Aurélie Dorzée released their new album ‘dHun’. With this record, they take you on a captivating journey where East and West merge. They blend the rich, colourful world of Indian music with the warm tones of European folk. Their ability to reinterpret ancient musical traditions into something fresh, contemporary, and irresistibly enchanting reveals just how deeply their music resonates. The album strikes a masterful balance between virtuosity and emotion, and promises a live experience that takes you beyond familiar boundaries. That Tom & Aurélie were awarded Best Live Band at the Flanders Folk Awards is more than deserved.
